Ancient Green and a Blue World~

palm-pistol

For a long time, Americans have always had a stereotype when it comes to someone with a gun.  You had the cowboys who hee haw their way into town with guns.  Hunters going for the kill to feed their families.  Law enforcement officers with their pride and joy, to serve and protect.  Americans get shiftier eyed when approached by anyone from all directions by individuals who are black, yellow, or brown.  Pretty soon, shifty eyes are going to be bestowed upon the elderly and the disabled.  You see, they have made a gun specifically for these people.  What is even more scarier is that, it can be touted as a stress reliever.  Elderly with amnesia might mistake this palm pistol for this stress relieving ball and start shooting everyone at a Bingo!  And get this!, it is covered under Medicare!

ancient-maryjane

Researchers have discovered ancient marijuana buried with a Yuezhi.  You see, these ancient Caucasian people are from Xinjiang province and according to experts, it was a common practice to bury something that they can use in their afterlife.  You see, Yuezhi’s are very ancient!  We’re talking about 2700 years ago!!   And since this news was first printed in the Journal of Experimental Botany, who’s to say that them researchers are not capitalizing on getting stoned!  After all, you see, it’s not everyday that a researcher would come upon a stash left behind by a Yuezhi!

porn-at-work

From the looks of this article in Newsweek, America is looking for ways to deal with stress in their life.  Nielsen Online reports that one in four office employees accessed pornography during the workday.  If you work in an office that employs 200 people, this means at least 50 people in your office checks out internet porn!.  If you know it isn’t you, and if you know for sure it isn’t the colleague behind you, it could be one of the two other colleague next to you!  Try to be discreet when popping your head above your cubical as you ponder which one of your colleague is doing it.

divorce
For some couples they made a vow, “for better for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do us part.”  Others delete “for richer or poorer” and replaces “till death do us part” with “till you’re broke.”   Historically divorce rates are high in troubled times, for example, during the 1997 recession, there was a 17% spike in divorce rate.  However, when comparing our current recession/divorce rate with the great depression years/divorce rates, the severity is comparable, thus people are not getting divorced in these times.  Many married couple end up staying together unhappily because they can’t afford all that goes with getting a divorce.  What makes this all so ironic is because they can’t afford to get a divorce, the thought of living with their spouse which they cannot stand, has prompted many to seek counseling to learn to live with their “other half,” and are spending a fortune on counseling!

upside-down-xmass-tree

Doing Christmas differently is an idea which more people are considering these days.  Seriously!  Normally the holidays brings in a lot of traditional stuffs. But, doing non-traditional stuffs over the holiday just means a new tradition is born.  Or maybe not.  Theoretically, one could do Christmas differently year after year.  Such as going on a vacation alone without your family,   Do something upside-down, such as hanging your Christmas Tree in that fashion will create more room for your home.  Do something different for someone less fortunate than you.  Handing out jackets and blankets to the homeless will guarantee you the best warmth you’ll ever experience, beats being in front of the fireplace, too.

    Candy ..

Cool article! In reading about the old folks smoking the herb back in the day, I was reminded of the lyrics to a Toby Keith song:

“I always heard that his herb was top shelf
I just could not wait to find out for myself
Don’t knock it til’ you tried it, Well I tried it my friend
And I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again”

The MJ today is not your parents’ MJ and I wonder what the ancients would think about today’s MJ.

    Here’s a possible clue:

“In the fetal position with drool on my chin
I messed up and smoked weed with Willie again.”

    HaHa!

    TGIF!

    :o )

I saw Today Show this Morning and they were talking about the Christmas Tree’s gadgets.

Remote Christmas Tree is pretty cool!

Upside down tree costs $299.00. You revived the website on upside down tree which states that it’s 599.00 and sold out!

    Pretty easy?

Palm pistol will cure on people’s hands from the blackberry/t-mobile! No more hand surgeries! No more arthritis!

Ancients’ 2700 year old MJ? Let’s try!

The palm pistol is a certified medical device?!! Holey mackerel. Well, I could see how it would come in handy for an elder being abused by his relatives– that’d put the fear of God in ‘em, by golly. But, an elder/disabled person would still have to register the weapon. Ammo is 9 mm bullets.

Man, I think 2,700-year old MJ would have been pretty potent back in the day– unregulated, uncertified, and not a cocktail of other what-have-you’s. Those Yuezhi were probably good and stoned most of their lives, huh?

Paotie…LOL! I think people should look to other things beyond potency. MJ, according to news reports are more potent than they were years ago. With that in mind, what made it more potent? Do we really want that? What if whatever it is that makes it more potent is in fact more dangerous? Me thinks the Willies should start growing organic MJ. ;)

WG..I have yet gone to anyone’s house and see an upside-down tree! But, in my paper last year, they did a story on it. I think it’s unique and a conversation starter too.

Ann_C..I know! I was mystified when I read that article. Now, I am seriously thinking about getting a gun, the world ain’t safe no mo! ;)
